For many, Frigga is this very calm and reserved mother figure, she is somewhat frightening as all mother figures are at some point. More the thought of mom’s power is often what is somewhat frightening when it comes to moms! They seem to know all, and never let you get away with much. Often she is seen decked out in finery and appears the true political wife of Odin, at many of the more structured gatherings she is excactly what is expected of a Queen. She is graceful and becomes very much the hostess, I have had some visits with her during these political events, and it seems that other gods behave very differently around her, they almost are reserved, and somewhat appear dressed to impress. I don’t know why it took so long for me to see it, but it was something my husband said when I explained one of my dreams to him, he said that sounds very much like a shaman thing. Then it hit me, I feel that Frigga may be a female shaman, in fact she may know stuff about the rural practices of women that was not known to men. We have a number of sources that show that certain practices were restricted to women, and felt that these practices needed a female in order to be done right!
