Okay our kindred needs a VW bus! Seriously wish I could go to this, but I am posting it as it might be of interest to others:

I mentioned to a fellow author that I think the more you write about the better it is. The payment does not matter, but what matters is getting yourself exposure.

Free e-books are a way that authors can promote themselves, although I would suggest you have some friends or someone edit them for you, and ensure that they are polished and perfect. I think sometimes that reading other articles by authors and knowing that they have free e-books, articles and downloads for articles out there sometimes has driven me to buy a book later on down the road.

So, in that vein, when I wrote The Heathen Shaman, I really had no expectation for anyone to find it interesting, nor really post it or offer to edit anything for me.

Well, color me surprised to find that there were a few people interested in it, in fact that a fellow author and activist offered to edit the document for free, was a very welcoming surprise.

So, I do want to say thank you to some people that really helped with The Heathen Shaman.

    1. Raven Kaldera for editing the document for me! Thanks Raven, it was very sweet of you to do that especially when you are so busy. (Raven Kaldera is an author and runs Cauldron Farm an NT Shamanism site)
    2. Penton Independent Pagan Media for posting The Heathen Shaman on the site :) , I really appreciated it a great deal and thank you so much for the nice comments about it!

I guess it never occured to me how complicated it would be to create a good security system for prevention against theft from our website, but man is it ever complicated. Then I keep changing my mind, adding additional complications, but then my brilliant husband (yes I mean that, this man is a genius when it comes to creative thinking) said why not create a page just for the students! That way you can customize the content and secure it much easier.

Well brilliant! So, I did just that! Now students get their own page that is customized for them, displays only classes that they paid for and shows them their progress. This will be an awesome feature for students because it makes everything available in one click.

To show off this new feature I have created a sample of what the Student Page and Student Marks/Progress page look like. This is only a sample, individual pages will have different information.

I think it will be really neat! I am looking to see if I can have a progress bar on the page…but that might be too much! I think this is an awesome idea that will provide a lot of flexibility and customization! So, thanks brilliant husband :)

Just made Heathen Artisans! Tell your friends, this page is an awesome place to find fellow crafters and artisans that are all heathen: Heathen Artisans

This was mentioned on the Asa-Parent list, that I was made owner of: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jul_i_Valhal there is a miniseries called Yule in Valhalla. The premise is so hillarious, these two kids unwittingly find a passage to Asgard and unchain Loki which will bring about Ragnarok, and they have until Yule to stop him! If getting into your local paper is fame, then I guess I made it! It was actually funny because I live in a town of about 5,000 that I have actually been approached about it, and it has been positive. Most people asked me questions and were really surprised to see me in there. So here it is! Read the rest of this entry »

Did my first podcast today! I was nervous!! Hope it came out okay! Everyone can listen to it by clicking on the button below! Read the rest of this entry »

After interviewing for Living Traditions, I was asked to write an article, and they published it, it is on page 22 for anyone that wants to read it. I love this magazine and the fact that I have now appeared twice in there, is very kind of them, it is a free magazine available for download by anyone. Read the rest of this entry »

New event calendar uploaded, will post important dates for students, courses and possibly event dates, but I cannot guarantee that these events will actually happen on the expected dates. We only confirm and get dates sent via email, so I will try to get the events up on the calendar at least a week before, but no promises, at least I will post possible dates here and what is planned so people that are visiting or use our site can see what is going on and if they want to get a hold of me before hand, we can get them on the invitation list. Will also post expected finishing dates for programs, and dates for releases of projects, writing etc. Expect that this feature will take time to get organized!
