My Journeys (dreams etc)
Final of the three part dream! The final journey ended at the world tree. Thor was there with me and I was handed off to a group of other women. There were a great deal of people there many were from Hel and I saw the Norn’s there.
I felt Frigga near me. We were all around the tree and there was a throne there. I was sat on the throne and felt uncomfortable, the women once again surrounded me and brushed my hair, and I felt prepared for something. I was then lifted in the chair and brought to the tree, the tree seemed to open, and then the throne sat somewhat in the tree.
A long tendral fell from the tree and wrapped around my arm, I felt a sting and looked to see thorns had imbeded themselves into my arm, it released but there was a definite mark left from the tree, it seemed to be a burn where you could see the dug in thorns left the mark and the arm was red.
Frigga looked at me and said, now you are made a wife of the tree, a woman of the worlds, married to it, as shamans are.
*I think it meant that a shaman is married to their path, this was a symbolic bond between myself and the tree, in that now I am part of it and it is part of me.
It was a good ending and I feel like it means that I finally have accepted this path and it has accepted me. I think mutual acceptance is important! I once read that those that resist the ‘call’ to shamanism don’t find it too easy, it seems that surrender is a part of it, one has to accept it.
Okay, so I continued the dream, riding in this sleigh type chariot thing, with Thor and it looked like draft horses, I think the horses were not out of character as we were going through snow, and they seemed to be better than the goats would be. Anyway, we are going farther into a mountain range, and Thor puts more blankets on me, as I am starting to feel cold, in fact ice crystals are coming off the red one’s beard. I woke up in a hall in a claw foot bathtub, this woman was there that was covered in a cloak that kind of covered her face. But, you could sort of see that her face kind of looked like a wraith from Stargate. Read the rest of this entry »
Around January I had a very vivid journey to Hel where she drew a six pointed Hagalaz on my stomach. A few weeks later I had to go for a ultrasound to see if there was a cyst or anything because I had been experiencing a lot of severe abdominal pain. A few weeks after that I got a call! You might have cervical cancer I was told, so we need you to come in for a test….well off I went two months later to find out that I had Endometriosis, then a week ago found out that the results showed no active cancer cells! Had a dream, which I am not at liberity to go into details too yet as I am still processing it and making sure I edit some content. I just thought this was really amusing, one part of the dream had a black cloud come in off the shore and what looked like Viking Ninja! Yep, Vikings all dressed like Viking but with black face masks and features like the Asian Ninja! Wierd! Read the rest of this entry »

I was lying there awake at 3am, not exactly what I was hoping for today! After all I just managed to have a peaceful night with a just recovered sick toddler and was looking forward to a good night sleep, oh well, no such luck! Instead I got woken up several times with this bizzare strand of thoughts! It was about the giants, I guess waking up with that in your head might keep the best of us awake, as why was my little brain all full of these thoughts? I know I ate spagetti and meatballs for supper and had a big bowl of fruit salad with trail mix topping, but seriously I doubt that any of that should have disrupted my sleep! Could it have been the movie I watched? Nope, not likely, it was this movie called Battle for Terra about some aliens getting wiped out by space traveling humans (typical). Could it have been that for some reason the last thought on my mind last night was why…why giants….why are they so scary to so many heathens and why they get such a bad rap. The day after I heard the news about the volcanic explosion in Iceland, I had a very strange dream. I am not trying to make light of this event…but this was very odd…Loki showed up at the bottom of the world tree to meet me, took me to Asgard which had also been damaged by the explosions, I saw some buildings were damaged and a lot of ash lying around. Okay, maybe I just need a bit of humour in my life right now, because the last few nights have been full of riddiculous Loki dreams…but this one takes the cake. I don’t think he ever is trying to be disrespectful, just that he is one of those people that finds certain situations uncomfortable, especially serious things…If he was at a funeral, he would be the one person trying to cover his emotions with nervious laughter….. I found myself in a small boat…surrounded by water, I could not see anything around me, and felt a strange cool mist float in from some unknown place. There did not seem to be anyone driving the boat, but heard the oars slowly rowing, a voice out of nowhere started chanting…Odin….like some scene out of an old Viking flick, the sound of his name echoed across the water, almost vibrating the water around.
