Kenaz Kindred has been providing events, workshops and gatherings for over seven years. Originally, the organization was developed as a general gathering place for those interested in learning pagan beliefs and traditions, from our humble beginnings as a small eclectic group of people has now spiraled into a thriving and busy organization that strives to provide a central core of teaching, training and rituals all completely devoted to the Ásatrú faith. We keep ourselves open to new ideas by accepting anyone that is interested in learning, celebrating and joining with a group of serious minded heathens. We are devoted to providing a positive learning environment, made up of sincere students and dedicated teachers.

Our rituals are fun, informative and spiritual. They are designed to give anyone (even the first timers) a serious look at what rituals are like, providing a solid foundation for spiritual growth. We offer in-depth and serious courses/workshops for those that are more than just "curious" about various parts of the Ásatrú path. Through, small intimate class sizes, students really get hands on learning. The small class size allows individual attention to be given if students are having difficulties with the materials, and provides a mix of social and serious learning. Workshops and Courses are very structured, providing a step by step outline, that is maintained throughout. This allows students, to follow along independently as well as within the group dynamic.

Independent thought, research and learning are promoted and encouraged with students, as we can only spark the flame that will lead them to a lifetime of learning. We try very hard to present up-to-date research, information and more, keeping current with modern schools of thought and new research that may have been recently found. It is important to us that all of our students and members feel that we are striving to be forever learning. We don't claim to know everything, if we did than what would be the adventure in life, but we strive to learn as much as we can, reading and researching in our spare time.

Kenaz Kindred is a committed group of people, that strive to do the best they can at everything they do. The priesthood was selectively chosen because of the qualities that each of them bring to the group, and members that come here, find a welcoming and accepting bunch of people. Our open door policy was instituted because of the fact that we feel, that no one should be prevented or denied access to any event. Regardless of background, color, creed, race, age or sexual orientation, we welcome anyone to attend. There is no judgment found here, which makes us an inviting and safe place for families and individuals to gather. Although there is now an inital meet and greet with our priesthood, this is in NO WAY a means to exclude but rather to be able to put a face to a name and get to know new people in a non ritual/workshop setting. This allows us to get to know guests a bit better and so that you can meet us and not have to attend an event with a bunch of strangers...that can be scary sometimes if you are new to the community. So, don't be surprised if we ask to meet you ahead of coming to an event.

We are in a secure location, proving all of our events within a small home. Conduct is strictly monitored and members/guests are always met and reviewed by priesthood to prevent any potentially dangerous people from joining or attending. We strive to keep all our members/guests safe and secure, and will escort people that are not behaving appropriately out.

Our hope is to provide all of our members and guests with:

1. A place that is open to anyone, regardless of background
2. Competent teachers: that are easy to learn from and will help through the learning process
3. A safe environment: that is conducive to both spiritual and personal endeavors
4. A place that one can learn about Ásatrú and its many beliefs
5. A proud tradition built by people that share our spiritual beliefs and want to participate in continuing our spiritual education together.
6. And finally, a place that is dedicated to worshiping the traditional beliefs of Ásatrú with modern and updated views that is open to suggestion and grows with each new person contributing their own personal store house of knowledge to the collective.
