Announcement For Newcomers: Starting in 2011 we will have specific registration months for newcomers to join the kindred. Our kindred will open registration between May and September every year to facilitate meeting and interviewing new applicants. The rest of the year is dedicated to running events and kindred projects as well as festivals or lectures that may arrise.

Over these months we will have meet ups for anyone that applied to our kindred in a city (to be determined) and we will review any necommers. We are doing this because our new location will require a meeting before transportation arrangements can be made, and to meet our current members and have some knowledge of them before coming to our kindred. On occassion and if required we will and are willing to meet people throughout the year, but some events may not be open to all applicants, so meeting up is a good way to ensure that both applicants and members can become acquainted.

We look forward to having these meet ups for anyone interested in heathenry and to get to know our local kindred group.

New Policy for Newcomers: Starting November 2010 all newcomers will be expected to attend an informal training session to learn about our rituals and how and what to do. This event will provide information on the structure of the blot, how and why we do things, what gods we invite and how, and how to do Hails during the Sumbel. All newcomers are expected to attend at least one of these sessions to learn about the structure of rituals, this is to help new people to Asatru learn about how we do our rituals.

Coming Soon: We are in the process of creating a manditory reading list for members and new people to the kindred, we will be creating a list of books, and have discussions on them as we read to provide help in understanding and acquiring both knowledge and lore to help everyone in their study and practice of Asatru and it's mythology, history, modern lore, and much more. We will hopefully be able to have a library running to help people check out books, and may start a small fund to help buy multiple copies...our goal is to help further the education of our members and to provide new people with the foundation of information that they will need in learning Asatru.
